Nick will be giving a presentation around the Australian Standard AS2303 Tree Stock for Landscape Use, the process involved in producing trees to the Australian Standard and why it's important to choose stock from nurseries who can supply stock that meets the standard.

Adrian Swain - Protection of Trees on Development Sites
Adrian will be giving a presentation around the technical implementation of AS4970-2009 Protection of trees on development sites and the role of the Project Arborist. Adrian is a Registered Landscape Architect, AQF Level 5 Arboricultural Consultant, Licenced Structural Landscaper and Pool Builder.
Adrian established ecodesign Pty Ltd, in June 2003. ecodesign is a Sydney based Landscape Design and Vegetation Management Consultancy firm working in the residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and infrastructure development fields.
Gwilym Griffiths - Which Plant Where and tree selection for changing climates
Which Plant Where is an online plant selector tool that will enable climate ready decision making to ensure our urban green spaces of the future are resilient. It is the culmination of five years of scientific research and testing and the first of its kind in Australia.
Gwilym will discuss the drivers for the Which Plant Where project, the research behind it and give a demonstration of how the online plant selector tool works.
Gwilym is an urban greening professional with a passion for the planning, design and delivery of innovative green and blue infrastructure to assist in the creation of liveable cities. Until recently Gwilym was the Urban Forest and Ecology Manager at a large Council in Sydney. Gwilym has been involved with the Which Plant Where program since 2018 and is the current Program Manager.
He has extensive experience in the connection of urban forest strategy with operational capability and has hands-on knowledge of the challenges and solutions that exist with both. He is an Urban Forest Consultant, qualified arborist, landscape designer, horticulturalist and project manager with over 20 years’ experience spanning both government and private organisations. www.goodcanopy.com.au
