Landscaping Skills Review: Have Your Say

The Landscaping Skills Review responds to industry calls for a comprehensive examination of skills needs across the design, construction, and maintenance sectors. This review serves peak landscaping associations, employers, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), learners, and regulators seeking nationally coherent yet jurisdictionally sensitive training solutions. It aims to map current skills against qualifications, identify gaps, and recommend training package updates that support professional autonomy, address shortages, and align with state licensing requirements. By establishing a unified national identity for landscaping occupations, the review supports advocacy for funding, apprenticeships, and more accurate occupational classifications through the OSCA, ultimately strengthening grounds for future industry workforce growth.

We invite you to participate in an online consultation to provide feedback, information and to validate the findings gathered to date.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to:

• Review and validate consultation findings.

• Discuss job roles, career pathways and technical skills.

• Share additional insights and perspectives.

• Help shape recommendations for future activities supporting Australia’s landscaping workforce.
