LDI invite you to an update on the new rules regarding pool barriers and the added options for poolside planting.
The Australian Standard for pool fences has been updated. AS 1926.1:2024, Swimming pool safety – safety barriers for swimming pools (AS 1926.1:2024) is expected to come into effect later this year.
Karen Staunton-Ross, Landscape Design Institute Fellow, has been representing Landscape Designers in a rigorous review process involving Standards Australia and industry stakeholders. Karen has been championing for improved definitions around plants and objects in the non-climbable zone (NCZ). So now for the first time, the Standard addresses plants within NCZs, with new clauses and figures included.
We invite you to hear Karen explain the updates to the standard and to join the discussion on pool fence regulations, while being inspired in Sareen Stone’s new showroom.
